The Department of Islamic Affairs in the Emirate of Sharjah was established by virtue of Emiri Decree No. (27) of 2008 by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of the Emirate of Sharjah - may God protect him - then Emiri Decree No. (2) of 2010 was issued regarding the organization of the work of Islamic Affairs in Sharjah, where it was assigned to preach and awareness work, and care for mosques in the emirate. The Department of Islamic Affairs in Sharjah seeks to inform people of the call of God Almighty with wisdom and good advice, facilitate the performance of congregational prayer rituals in mosques, and provide all services and facilities to enable the performance of the duty as it should be in an atmosphere of faith.
